Great work, thanks for the read !Would you have time to relaunch some simulations during the rest day with the current situation of the pack (riders who abandoned, current number of points in the KOM and green jersey) ? Not a bad idea, and simulating up to the rest day shouldn’t take too long. I ride my bikes because I like it not because I’m good at it T-Shirt I can probably get the results of 10-15 sims up later today! The number of riders who abandoned on the first rest day seems to normally range from 3 to 8, with 5 or 6 being the average. This is a far cry from the 19 riders who have DNFed, DNSed or OTLed so far in real life.

Mark Cavendish’ current score of 168 points is on the low side of the 187 average for the points classification leader on the rest day, but well within the range I saw. And looking at KOM points, I’ve discovered that I’ve made a huge mistake. I checked a couple of stages before I started this whole project to see whether KOM points in PCM were awarded exactly the same as in the real Tour, and found no discrepancies in the stages I checked. I ride my bikes because I like it not because I’m good at it T-Shirt This was just bad luck it would seem, because a handful of other stages had mistakes in them.

All in all, 4 category 1 climbs in the Tour were classed as category 2 climbs in PCM, meaning there’s 40 points less available for the maximum score a single rider can achieve. I think this also partially contributes to WvA’s high winning percentage in the KOM classification, which will unfortunately have to have an asterisk next to it now. Very cool post ,but as someone who plays a lot of PCM im not suprised by the results ,usualy in true PCM fashion ,I ride my bikes because I like it not because I’m good at it T-Shirt if you have the best sprinter or a realy good climber they usualy just sweep most stages that fit them in simulations
