As a center, I had to have a talk with my high school QB about not using this due to Ace Ventura. Made me chuckle every time, which definitely threw off my timing. Haha was just thinking about that yesterday. I’m kind of going to miss Goff’s TURBO SET call but I’m not going to miss my anus clenching every time he drops back to pass. Allen does Green Bay, Blue’s Clues & You Josh Portrait T-Shirt for the hard count, but once defenses caught on they switched it to the hurry up snap.Yeah that’s a weird one. He switches to that after he kills the first play right? Might just be the same as Rodger’s Blue 42, which he uses after he audibles out.

Sounds like it’s just an indicator of the count on the new play. Probably not a left or right call on a run play, or anything like calling for no huddle for the next down. As others have pointed out, “Sunday” is a relatively common phrase used to kill the planned snap count and tell the center to snap the ball on the next sound out of a QBs mouth, often used in hurry up or when the play clock is near zero. Not all teams use “Sunday”, Blue’s Clues & You Josh Portrait T-Shirt but most teams do have their versions of it. Days of the week are a common in football cadences. They are easy for people to understand/remember/hear the differences. For example, Monday could mean “on 1”, Tuesday “on 2”, Sunday “on the first White 80”, Saturday “on first sound”.

It’s the blue/black dress vs. white/gold dress all fucking over again. For what it’s worth, I generally hear 18, though sometimes it sounds like 19. there have been a few 19s ive heard but like 99% of the time i hear the eight really clearly, it made me think of the yanny and laurel thing too lol At least I can understand how someone would hear 18 or 19…Blue’s Clues & You Josh Portrait T-Shirt I literally had an argument with my then gf because I could not imagine how to hear Yanny. Probably means a run to the right. Single word calls like that with an L or R in them mean left or right run, unless they’ve decided that left means right and left means right lol
